Tackling Fly-Tipping Together

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of unwanted items in the wrong place, such as leaving rubbish beside bins, in communal areas, or across Albyn estates. This can include anything from household waste to larger items like mattresses, electrical goods, furniture, and even commercial waste.

Not only is fly-tipping unsightly, but it also harms the environment, attracts pests, and can lead to further anti-social behaviour. It is a criminal offence, and those responsible may face prosecution.

How you can help
We carry out regular estate inspections, but we rely on residents to help us keep our communities clean and safe.
If you spot fly-tipped items, please report them as soon as possible.

Providing photographs is very helpful and can assist us in identifying those responsible. Please remember, where we can identify who has dumped waste, we will recharge the cost of removal.
