Stock Condition Surveys

Following a competitive tender exercise undertaken through Public Contracts Scotland towards the end of 2025, we awarded a contract for the provision of stock condition surveys to Graham + Sibbald.

Graham + Sibbald are an established firm of RICS chartered surveyors working across Scotland and have a highly skilled local team serving the Highlands region, with considerable experience across both commercial and domestic properties.

Stock condition surveys allow us to capture important data about our properties, making sure they stay free of defects and meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standards.

These surveys also assist us in driving continuous improvement through the identification of components such as kitchens, bathrooms, windows & doors and heating systems that require replacement in the short and medium term. Where replacements are identified in the short term, these are added to our planned programme schedules.

Our approach is to undertake these surveys within each home every 5 years, in order to ensure we hold correct and up to date information. Therefore approximately 2,200 homes will be surveyed over this current 3 year contract period.

You will be contacted if your property is included within an upcoming survey programme, and it is important that you provide access to the surveyors on the given date. Details of the surveys and what to expect will be provided, however surveyors will require access to all internal rooms and external areas, and it is expected that surveys take no more than 1 hour per property.
