For just £1, you can become a Member of Albyn Housing Society one of the most trusted social landlords in the Highlands!
Becoming a Member means you hold a share in the Society and are entered on the Register of Members. Membership gives you the chance to play a meaningful role in how Albyn operates, including being eligible for consideration for Board membership and voting at General Meetings. At Albyn, we’re guided by our values of being caring, being adaptable and being professional putting people and communities at the heart of everything we do. Membership is a simple way to support these values in action, help shape the future of housing services in your community, and influence how we continue to build quality, affordable homes where people can thrive.
What are the benefits of being a shareholder?
Being a shareholder allows you to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where you can:
- Approve the Society’s annual accounts
- Hear from the Chair about Albyn’s performance and achievements
- Receive the auditor’s report
- Vote on the election of Board Members
- Approve the appointment of external auditors
- Attend Special General Meetings (SGMs) when required
- Stand for election to the Board, helping shape the future direction of the Society
- Nominate other Members for election to the Board
How to become a member?
Becoming a member is simple and open to individuals aged 16 and over who support Albyn’s purpose and values and want to play a positive role in shaping strong communities.
- Complete a membership form or ask a member of the team for support.
- Pay a £1 membership fee (this gives you one share in the Society).
- Your application will be considered and approved by the Board.
Once approved, you will be added to the Register of Members and can begin taking part in helping us shape the future!
