Albyn Housing Society launches emergency package of measures to help tenants with rising energy bills

Albyn Housing Society, is today (05 April 2022), launching the Albyn Energy Fund worth £100,000 for tenants struggling with soaring energy costs – a fund that will quickly go due to expected demand.

The fund, will be available from 08 April (Friday), is part of a package of measures to support our tenants many who are struggling financially with energy bills and the rising cost of living. As well as the Energy Fund Albyn is appealing to MSPs and MPs to stop Highland residents from being charged more for energy bills than anywhere else in the UK.

Albyn is also calling for an immediate review into the eligibility rules for the Scottish Government’s Investing in Communities Fund; a potentially transformative source of revenue that Albyn is excluded from because its communities are spread over a larger geographical area than most Scottish housing associations.

If you are struggling with your energy bills then please email your name, address and telephone number to: energyfund@albynhousing.org.uk

One of our very helpful Customer Services team members will be in touch within 5 days to discuss your request.
