New homes ready in Dingwall
We have completed 19 high quality new homes for rent and shared equity purchase at our latest Ross-shire development at Macbeth Court, Dingwall.
Developed by Inverness builders Roy Homes, the £2.6 million project consists of 15 one, two and three-bedroom homes for rent, plus four reserved for sale under the Scottish Government’s low cost home ownership scheme, LIFT.
The Scottish Government contributed £1.7 million grant funding towards construction costs.
Calum Macaulay, our Chief Executive, said: “Macbeth Court is an attractive development situated near Tulloch Castle which will provide accommodation for up to 82 people.
“With its attractive communities and close transport links to the city of Inverness, Ross-shire is growing rapidly and the development of affordable housing is struggling to keep up with the increasing demand.
“Despite funding cuts, we are still very ambitious about our development activity and the important role it plays in regenerating and revitalising Highland communities. In addition, our high quality projects help to raise the standard of affordable housing stock in the region whilst at the same time providing vital investment for the local construction industry.
“During 2013/14 Albyn Housing Society aims to produce around 123 rented and 73 LIFT homes in 15 communities across the Highlands.
“This highlights our commitment to maintaining our reputation as the leading provider of high quality affordable homes in the Highlands.”
