We Sign £6m Major Repairs Deal with Compass

We have appointed Inverness-based Compass Building and Construction Services Ltd as our major repairs contractor for the next four years.

The £6 million contract will see the firm deliver upgrades across our Highland-wide estate, as we strive to continually improve housing standards across the region.

These will include improvements such as new kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors and heating systems in around 170 older properties.

Calum Macaulay, our Chief Executive, said: “As well as having an ambitious new build programme planned for the next five years, we are keen to deliver significant investment in upgrading and improving our existing housing stock.

“We believe tenants deserve comfortable, quality and efficient homes, and our partnership with Compass Building and Construction Services Ltd will play an important role in delivering this aim over the next four years.”

We are therefore absolutely delighted to have been awarded this significant project and to continue working in tandem with Albyn across the Highland Region to assist in delivering their aims.”

The first planned projects include heating upgrades in Inverness and Grantown on Spey, kitchen upgrades in Lochcarron and window and door upgrades in Thurso.
