Dingwall Tenant Roadshow

Tenant Feedback has shown a desire for increased face-to-face support. In response, we have launched our ‘Tenant Roadshow’ a series of pop-up events across our communities. We will be visiting your area on Tuesday 23rd July between 10am and 2pm in the Dingwall Community Centre, Tulloch Street Old Academy Buildings, Dingwall IV15 9JZ).

The Community Centre has a level access meeting area with a larger room upstairs. We will split our staff and external organisations and you will be met by our host who can direct you.
Albyn Group are keen to meet our tenants’ face to face across our communities This will be in a relaxed, friendly and safe space to listen to you and resolve matters in any aspect of your tenancy.

Non tenants are also very welcome to join our event to discuss any matters that may be of interest to them so please extend this invitation to your family and friends.

Tenants4Tenants

Albyn has a very active group of tenants who get involved in our working practices. Our Tenants4Tenants Participation Group will also be at the event and would really like to speak to you if you are interested in getting involved. The group attend meetings to discuss what Albyn are doing well, how we can improve and the scrutiny aspects of our working practices including the design of new homes. Highland Residential Ltd

We are also pleased to be joined by our subsidiary group Highland Residential Ltd who administer Mid-Market Rental applications and the Scottish Government backed scheme on Low-cost Initiative for First Time buyers (LIFT) and Factoring. Mikeysline

Recent surveys carried out on cost of living and other life changing matters have highlighted the challenges many of us are facing. We are pleased to be working in partnership with Mikeysline, mental health charity, who have expanded their reach in the Highlands. One of their representatives will be on hand to discuss available support.

Dingwall & District Mens Shed

We also welcome Dingwall & District Mens Shed, a charity organisation whose aim is to address the social, health and wellbeing needs of people in Dingwall and surrounding areas. They provide facilities where people can meet to undertake creative, physical and recreational activities.

Job Centre Plus

From 11:30-2:00pm, they will be able to provide advice on preparing for work, including training, work placement programmes and job trial schemes, CV building advice, interviews and much more. They may also be able to assist with general advice on Universal Credit and other benefits.

CAB

If you need advice, information or guidance our local citizens advice bureau for detailed information on a wide range of topics, including guidance on benefits, debt, money, employability, and much more.

We have a “Kid’s corner” which will provide budding artists and creative minds with an opportunity to colour-in, experiment with glitter tattoos, read some books (which they can take home) all the while keeping your children amused while you explore. We will also be giving the children frisbee’s and buckets/spades to hopefully enjoy some much needed Summer sun. Let’s hope we enjoy some sunny weather during the holidays!

Refreshments of tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits will be served and appropriate refreshments for the little ones. We like to give out prizes and there will be a kids competition prize up for grabs plus a draw for each tenant that attends with a chance to win a £25 shopping voucher of your choice.
